Lesson 6 – Creating an outline of your yearbook

  • Before diving into the process of creating a yearbook, we recommend starting with a plan in the form of an outline.
  • An outline serves as a high-level roadmap for the information that will be found in the yearbook and the in which it will appear.

Start by…

  1. Discussing as a team the non-negotiable content (class photos, team photos etc.)
  2. Brainstorming Ideas for additional sections to make your team’s yearbook stand out from previous yearbooks (arts & culture sections, community service etc.)
  3. Outlining the order in which the sections will appear.

This outline may change and evolve as you start to build your yearbook but it will nevertheless serve as a great starting point and general guide.
